Comfort Zones
Frank Santucci writes: Conversion calls us to the courage to step out of our comfort zones What are some of our comfort zones that call for conversion?
Playing it safe. Keeping quiet in the face of racist remarks. Staying comfortably blind regarding injustice in the church. Allowing the politics of "pillars of the church" to trump our preferential option for the poor.
I think that in my life I am often reluctant to talk to my brother Oblates about ways in which I think they are doing wrongly. This dysfunctional tolerance is not good for them, for the Congregation or for me. Perhaps this comment is similar to Phil's (above) but just considered in terms of my life internal to the Congregation rather than external to it.
